Day 1 Beginning
08:00 Meeting with a guide in Almaty. Transfer to an excursion to the Kayindy lake (290 km, 4 hours). 12:00 Arrival at the guest house in the village of Saty. 13:00 lunch 14:00 After a short rest and lunch, transfer to the Kayindy lake (12 km, 30 minutes). This is a very young lake that appeared only at the beginning of the last century as a result of the 1911 earthquake. This fantastic place is popular with tourists because of the spruce and pine trees growing on the lake. The depth of the water is 21 meters, the length of the pond is about four meters. Horseback riding by the lake 17:00 Return to the guest house. 18:00 Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Day 2 Middle
08:00 Breakfast 09:00 Transfer to lake Kolsay 1 (15 km, 30 minutes). 09:30 Arrival at Kolsai Lake 1. Walking tour of the surroundings. 11:00 Horseback riding to Kolsai Lake 2 (8 km one way, 3 hours). Such beauty cannot be found anywhere else. Kolsai Lakes are 3 alpine lakes, which are located between the heights of 1700 - 2650 m. The 3 lakes are extremely transparent and located in an idyllic place surrounded by massive rocks and mountains with snow caps and wooded slopes. These lakes are located in the eastern part of the picturesque Kungey Tau gorge, 300 km from Almaty. You will see all the beauty of nature, breathe in the fresh mountain air, enjoy the peace and quiet, admire the light clouds reflecting on the surface of the lakes, and the enchanting panorama of the mountain landscape. 13.00 Lunch break during the excursion. 15.00 Return to the Kolsai lake - 1. 18.00 Dinner and overnight at the guest house.
Day 3 Middle
08.00 Breakfast 09.00 Transfer to the Assy plateau (260 km, 4 hours). The plateau is located at an altitude of 2800-3200 meters. You will be surprised by the magnificent view when you reach the Assy Pass: an incredibly huge green valley with pearls of white yurts and distant herds of sheep and horses. Since ancient times, it has been used as a pasture. Scientists have found here the remains of ancient people who lived more than 5000 years ago. Another attraction of Assa is the astronomical observatory, one of the largest in Kazakhstan, its huge dome is visible from every point of the valley. 13.00 Arrival to the Assy plateau. Dinner 14.00 Walk around the neighborhood, meeting with local residents. 18.00 Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 4 Ending
08.00 Breakfast. 09.00 Transfer to Turgen gorge (20 km, 30 minutes). Turgen Gorge in Ili-Alatau National Park is an ideal place to enjoy the beauty of nature. In the gorge you can visit waterfalls, trout farms. Rafting on the river (3-4 km) is also possible, horseback riding is also possible. 10.00 Trek to the Bear waterfall (1.2 km, 20 minutes one way). Photography. 13.00 Lunch at a local cafe. 14.00 Return to Almaty.
